The space was originally two separate rooms, so the job was to open out the space and create a spacious kitchen with a breakfast bar, plenty of storage and if possible a separate utility room. We knew we wanted a handleless kitchen and we always liked the combination of grey with white. There were several features that Mark suggested, like the stepped up breakfast bar, and the design of the tall units.
A Bauformat handleless kitchen in Columbia Lava and Porto Moonlight. All appliances are Caple, including the slimline wine chiller and the waste disposal unit which were on the Client’s wish list. The client wanted an easy to clean, non stainable worktop which wasn’t too expensive, ‘with no sparkly bits!’ so cimstone was the answer – and a piece of this was used as a splash back as well to keep the look as continuous and simple as possible. Both corner base units have Le Mans pullout storage racks and the client particularly likes the soft close function on all the drawers and doors. Two pop up electrical sockets with installed in each corner of the worktop instead of wall sockets, and both these have usb points for charging phones and ipads.
‘Mark was great – any little hiccup and he was there and we had no issues. We really felt we could tell him what we liked and he would come up with suggestions and offer ideas. We really like our new kitchen, it is easy to keep clean and is very functional’.
