Stunning black & white extended bathroom

The Brief
To create a spacious downstairs family bathroom and shower room by knocking through an existing coal shed and extending the original space. Efficient and imaginative use of the newly created space was key to the project

The Result
A stunning black and white bathroom that reflects the careful thought of the planning and construction process. The former coal shed has been transformed by a luxurious Simpsons Walk-In shower across one wall. It is housed in its own separate area, with a Starck 3 Back To Wall WC cunningly tucked behind the entrance to the area, beneath a new window and opposite a tall 1110mm chrome towel warmer by Design.

The spacious Agua Maison Stetson bath tub lies under the window of the other area of the bathroom, and opposite the wow-factor Celeste vanity unit in high gloss white. The bath filler, deck mounted attachments and basin monobloc are all from the Totti Series by Crosswater as are the Kai thermostatic shower valve and Voyager 5 shower kit. A second Design towel warmer is conveniently placed on the wall next to the vanity unit, above which is a stylish Celeste 800 x 600mm Back-Lit mirror.

The tiles chosen to offset the gloss white are from the textured and patterned Patchwork 2 Negro mosaic effect range.

The Feedback
‘Nothing was too much trouble, and James was lovely throughout the design stage as we went through several changes. The job took longer than anticipated, but Matt Clarke the builder worked around my daughter working nights. He did the quieter jobs and came back to do the noisier jobs. We are particularly pleased with the way the WC has been hidden away, the extra window and the light from the mirror is perfect when you have a bath’.
