Redditch Kitchen

The Brief
An entire rip out and start from a blank canvas was required. The client had an idea of the basic layout and knew they wanted an oak or walnut wood door finish with granite worktops.

The Result
A spectacular contemporary kitchen with Decor Tobacco doors in walnut and Star galaxy granite worktops.

The client wanted to keep their fridge freezer which was incorporated into a bank of tall units, which also houses the oven and has a partial glass frontage to create a display cabinet. The top of the tall units was made to fit around an existing RSJ and pillar.

The peninsula island seats four, and there is a long run of base units along the window wall which house a Le Mans magic corner and a Franke sink with a Sterling monobloc swivel spout tap.

Working together with Mark and the kitchen fitter, Matt, the final design of the kitchen was able to evolve and change over the course of the job. For example the freeing up of space enabled the client to see more potential with the size and position of the peninsula breakfast bar, and the microwave housing was designed and added during installation.

The Feedback
“The kitchen renovation was a pleasant task with Mark and Matt. For example the final dimensions of the (breakfast table) peninsula were left until most other units were in situ and we could see how it really worked in real life. Then, as we noticed the length and width needed to be changed slightly – no problem.”

To redo our kitchen wasn’t cheap – it never is if you want it to be done properly. In our case the whole room had to be rebuilt from floor to walls and ceiling, all electrical wiring and an old (leaking) gas pipe had to be removed for starters.  However, with Mark and Matt I believe the money was well spent. If you want to be happy with your new kitchen for the long run, as we believe we will be, I can recommend these guys”.
