To completely redesign the family bathroom starting from a blank canvas. Initially the clients, ‘didn’t know what we wanted, we couldn’t imagine it’ and actively wanted input on ideas and what products were out there on the market. On a visit to the showroom the clients saw lots of products on display which they instantly liked and asked Mark to come up with some design ideas.
Mark presented a choice of four designs which changed the layout of the existing room, moving unsightly pipework, moving the existing entrance to the bathroom and creating space for a freestanding bath. During the installation process the clients realised the bath would actually make the bathroom feel too cramped and they decided against it. The result is a lovely, roomy bathroom with products chosen which perfectly complement each other and the space. The subtle colour of the Vanity Hall double drawer unit of high gloss light grey blends in with the soft grey of the floor and wall tiles, which give a spacious uniformity to the room. The feature panel of Autumn Mixed Mosaic tiles in the shower creates just the right balance set against the field tiles. As a design theme the clients wanted to reflect the shape of the window of the bathroom which is square, so they chose accessories and finishing touches to pick up on this, like the Crosswater water square basin mixer, the square rails of the towel radiator and the square control knobs of the shower. Also the shape of the corian basin was made in a bespoke square trough. Another idea the client’s liked was to locate the Pura Vida Shower rail in the corner using a specialist corner fixing kit.
‘Mark was fantastic. He did everything that other showrooms we had been to failed to do, from coming up with ideas and suggestions to seeing the whole project through’.
