The clients were downsizing from a larger property and wanted to create a fully functioning contemporary kitchen that had lots character, to match the period cottage they were moving into.
After much agonising over whether to go for a bright colour of kitchen door the clients decided to create a neutral palette and add colour with accessories. The smooth Stoneham Fusion door they chose in Cashmere finish beautifully contrasts with the textured Anthracite door, and the trademark Stoneham curved under-hob drawers mirror the base and wall curved units facing them. A large Georgian chandelier from their previous house hangs in the centre of the ceiling, creating a vintage look, as does the Victorian side table. The clients opted for Caple appliances throughout and particularly liked the white glass ovens which match the quartz worktop in white Barents finish. An undermounted wine chiller was also a priority as was a Quooker instant boiling water tap. A large bespoke storage cupboard was built by Stoneham to house the boiler and kitchen essentials such as ironing board and vacuum cleaner. The kitchen floor is tiled with stunning Petra Noce porcelain tiles.
