Contemporary small kitchen with maximum storage space
The clients were opening out the downstairs of their house to create an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The challenge was to make maximum use of the allocated space they had for a kitchen whilst providing full functionality with a great look.
After trawling around several places the clients fell in love with the Stoneham Strata door with its stylish champered edges. The door was on display in the showroom in a Painted Cashmere colour which the clients also loved, “That’s the one for us”, they exclaimed, and from then on, “Mark gave us the ideas and we planned out what we wanted. He was guided by us to utilise the space we had to give us a wow factor”. The large pull out drawers of the tall cupboards next to the wall mounted Siemens ovens provide grocery storage, and crockery is housed in the pull out drawers under the Siemens induction hob. Smaller pull out drawers on either side of the hob provide condiment storage whilst the run of wall units stores glasses and houses the hob extractor fan. Pull out bins were also provided and Le Mans corner double storage shelves house saucepans. “Our favourite suggestion is the microwave oven, which we use all the time and is very simple to operate”. The sink return divides the kitchen from the living area and gives a nice view over the garden – this run is finished off with a Siemens dishwasher. The white, textured Cimstone worktop reflects light into the space and houses a Blanco undermounted sink and tap.
“The quality of the kitchen is brilliant, the installation was flawless with no hassle, and Mark’s approach was not pushy – there was no war of prices, he simply gave us the best deal he could”.
