Listed Barn Conversion, pitched ceilings, bespoke Ensuite
A leaking shower prompted a decision to re-fit the whole bathroom. The client wanted a large shower, which could fit under the eaves of the barn conversion ceiling with some good looking, quality furniture and storage space.
A lot of preparation work was done removing unsightly boxing in along the outer edges of the room to allow for the furniture and enclosure to be flush fitted. The previous shower tray had been raised up and one task was to fit the waste under the floorboards, thus releasing more height for the new enclosure to slip in under the eaves. A top of the range Matki Eauzone Plus Slider shower enclosure was used, measuring 1400 x 900 mm, with luxurious 10mm thick glass throughout. Bespoke furniture from Vanity Hall in walnut was commissioned and designed to taper off to reduced depth after the wall cupboards to allow easy opening of the velux roof window. A deep worktop was required to allow for a large ceramic undermounted basin. Tiling was done around original exposed beam work to showcase the full charm and age of the room.
“KTB Gallery helped us to create a modern bathroom sympathetic to a listed barn conversion, and their design service and workmanship were excellent.”
